Daniel A. Nelson (he/him) is a documentary filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. His work has been featured on HBO, Netflix, and The New York Times, among others. He was a cinematographer on How To Survive a Pandemic (dir. David France), which won the 2023 Emmy Award for Science and Technology Documentary. Daniel was also the co-director and director of photography of the feature documentary And So I Stayed, which won 2023 SIMA Systemic Change Award and resulted in the release from prison of two women featured in the film.
